Step 1: Ordering the test

Getting started with SpotitEarly’s Breath Test is easy and convenient. The test is typically ordered by a doctor or healthcare provider. Whether it’s for routine screening or a proactive check, the test is readily available and provides a non-invasive, easy-to-use screening solution.

Once ordered, the Breath Test kit is delivered straight to the patient’s door. They receive everything needed to complete it: a face mask, clear “how to” instructions and access to our companion app, which guides users through the entire process.

Step 2: Performing the test

The test itself is designed with comfort in mind and can be taken wherever and whenever is most convenient for patients. This helps make it a stress and pain-free experience.

Here’s how the process works:

• Users open the kit and follow the simple instructions provided. The app is available to offer step-by-step guidance as needed.
• The patient places the mask securely over their face and exhales steadily for three minutes. This process collects volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from their breath — these are key indicators linked to cancer.
• Once finished, the seal on the collection container is securely closed. This helps preserve the integrity of the sample whilst it is in transit.

The whole process is non-invasive and takes just a few minutes, making it easy for anyone to use, regardless of age, location or health condition.

Step 3: Shipping your sample

The sealed sample is then shipped to one of SpotitEarly’s CLIA-certified laboratories. We make this as easy as possible by providing pre-labelled, secure packaging to every patient.

The companion app also tracks the sample’s journey, so users know when it reaches the lab. This transparency also helps give peace of mind while the sample is en route.

Step 4: Laboratory analysis

Upon arrival, each sample is analyzed in two distinct stages, combining nature’s strong sense of smell with the power of advanced technology.

1. Canine scent detection: Specially trained dogs analyze the sample for VOCs linked to cancer. They can identify cancer-related odors with remarkable accuracy and we perform multiple assessments with different dogs to confirm the results.
2. AI validation: LUCID, our proprietary AI platform, then analyzes the data, assigning confidence scores and generating predictive models to confirm the presence of cancer.

This unique combination of canine olfaction and AI review ensures unparalleled accuracy, with our detection rates currently exceeding 90% across multiple cancer types.

Step 5: Receiving the results

Once the analysis is complete, SpotitEarly delivers the results promptly. We understand that users want the results as soon as possible, so we usually contact their doctor within a few days of receiving a sample.

• If there’s a signal for cancer, A specially trained healthcare professional will contact the medical practitioner to explain the findings and discuss the next steps.
• If there’s no signal for cancer, Our team will discuss the results and answer any questions doctors might have. We’ll also provide reminders for future screenings.
